Thursday, March 21, 2024, ITEKES Bali Undergraduate Nursing Program held a seminar on Optimizing the Quality of Life of Children and Families with Down Syndrome in Long-Term Care. The purpose of this seminar is to prepare students and provide an understanding of the care of children with Down syndrome and how to improve the quality of life of children and families in long-term care. The speakers at this seminar were: 1) Ns. I Gusti Kusuma Negara, S.Kep., MNS (Pediatric Nursing Lecturer at ITEKES Bali Nursing Program); 2) Luh Susi Ariyanti, SP.d. (Teacher of SLB N 3 Denpasar, and 3) Nani Sumarni (a parent of a child with Down Syndrome). Participants in this seminar were all lecturers and students of Bachelor of Nursing, students of Midwifery program, Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine students, Clinical and Community Pharmacy students, Nursing Anesthesiology students, and students of the independent student exchange program (PMM).
